Deutsche ECM gains Ross

Bank creates a new role for a head of execution in response to its growing profile in the ECM league tables.
Deutsche Bank has announced the appointment of Jonathan Ross as head of equity capital markets ECM execution in Asia. Ross will transfer internally from London to take up what is a newly created post.

He will be based in Hong Kong and report to Rowena Chu, DeutscheƆs Asian head of ECM. His chief responsibility will be to manage and smoothe out the entire ECM process, liaising with both originators and syndicate bankers.

The appointment is timely for Deutsche Bank, given its increasing suite of business in the region including the $10 billion IPO for Industrial and Commercial Bank of China ICBC, which may come later this year.
