A total of $1.7 billion was raised in the equity capital markets this week from 10 issues, almost five times more than the $345 million raised last week. This pushes year-to-date issuance to $129.2 billion, down 27% from the $176.5 billion raised in the comparable period last year.
Goldman Sachs remains at the top of the league table with $11.4 billion, followed by Morgan Stanley with $9.4 billion and UBS with $6.1 billion.
Great Wall Motor’s $621 million A-share follow-on offering was the largest issue of the week. Guotai Junan Securities was the sole bookrunner.
