A total of $6.1 billion has been raised in the Asian equity capital market this week through 39 deals, up slightly on the $5.5 billion raised in the same period last year.
The largest deal of the week is China Taiping Insurance Holdings’ $1.8 billion follow-on through bookrunners HSBC, Citi and China Construction Bank Corp. The deal is also the sixth largest Asia ex Japan ECM transaction so far this year.
Another notable deal to complete this week is Tata Motor’s $1.2 billion rights offer through bookrunners Citi, Bank of America Merrill Lynch, Credit Suisse, HSBC and JP Morgan. The deal...
