The equity capital markets raised $761 million from nine deals this week, pushing year-to-date volume over the $40 billion mark. Citi, UBS and Credit Suisse take out the top three positions in the rankings, with market shares of 10.8%, 8.6% and 7.3% respectively.
The largest issue of the week was Olam InternationalÆs $300 million convertible led by JP Morgan and Macquarie Group. The US investment bank currently sits in fifth place in the rankings.
Morgan Stanley moved up a notch in the league tables to fourth place on the back of Sino-Environment Technology GroupÆs $109 million convertible bond, in addition to a couple of deals priced late last week û Pou Sheng International (Holdings)Æs $322 million IPO, bookrun together with Merrill Lynch; and Central China Real EstateÆs $176 million listing, run on a sole basis.
Deals scheduled to price next week include Shandong Chenming Paper HoldingsÆ $474 million follow-on offering, which is led by Guotai Junan Securities and Macquarie Group.
