Equity Capital Markets
Following six consecutive weeks of equity capital markets issuance in excess of $2 billion, a lacklustre $746 million was raised from only four issues this week, due to the Lunar New Year holiday. Haitong Securities continues to top the league table ranking with $2.4 billion, followed by Bank of China on $1.9 billion and UBS on $1.7 billion.
Malaysia's MISC raised $1.5 billion (of which only $568 million is eligible for league table credit) from a rights issue via bookrunner RHB Capital, which was the largest deal of the week.
Deals scheduled to price next week include Rural Electrification Corp's $951 million follow-on offering led by ABN AMRO, Bank of America Merrill Lynch, ICICI Bank, JM Financial and Kotak Mahindra Finance.
Debt Capital Markets
It was a silent week in the debt capital markets with zero trades. Deutsche Bank, Barclays Capital and Citi sit in the top three spots in the rankings with $1.9 billion, $1.8 billion and $1.3 billion respectively.
