Asia (ex Japan)’s G3 issuance at record high.

Asia (ex Japan) issuers have raised $1.9 billion through 22 deals this week, compared with $3.5 billion raised via 39 deals in the same period last week.

The largest deal of the week is China’s Huaan Securities’ IPO of $744 million through sole bookrunner, Huatai Securities.

IPOs by Chinese issuers total to $39.2 billion (244 deals) in 2016 YTD, almost on par with the $40.2 billion (251 deals) raised in the same period last year. Overall Asia (ex Japan) IPO volume has increased to $55.3 billion so far this year from $52.7 billion in 2015 YTD.

CITIC Securities leads the ECM league table ranking with $16.7 billion in 2016 YTD. Morgan Stanley and GF Securities complete the top three with $14.0 billion and $12.0 billion, respectively.

Debt Capital Markets

11 Asian issuers have tapped the G3 debt capital markets for a total of $7.2 billion, an increase from the $5.0 billion raised via 10 deals in the same period last week.

The largest deal of the week is a $2.1 billion Euro-denominated bond by Export-Import Bank of China through bookrunners ING, Barclays, Bank of Communications Co Ltd, Mitsubishi UFJ Financial Group, Bank of China, and Credit Agricole CIB.

Asia (ex Japan)’s G3 issuance stands at $213.5 billion in 2016 YTD, the highest volume on record for this period and up 15% from $185.1 billion in 2015 YTD.

HSBC leads the G3 bond league table in Asia (ex Japan) with $20.4 billion in 2016 YTD. Citi and Bank of America Merrill Lynch follow with $15.0 billion and $13.4 billion, respectively.
