Asia (ex Japan) issuers have raised $2.6 billion through 26 deals this week, compared with $6.0 billion raised in the same period last week.
The largest deal of the week is China’s Yunnan Aluminium’s $536 million follow-on through sole bookrunner, Tonghai Holdings
Asia (ex Japan) follow-on volume has reached $165.3 billion in 2016 YTD, almost on par with the same period last year ($163.5 billion). Chinese issuers lead with $140.9 billion, accounting for 85% of the region’s total.
CITIC Securities leads the ECM league table ranking with $16.7 billion in 2016 YTD. Morgan Stanley and GF Securities complete the top three with $14.0 billion and $12.0 billion, respectively.

Debt Capital Markets
Nine Asian issuers have tapped the G3 debt capital markets for a total of $4.7 billion, a significant uptick compared to the $834 million raised via six deals in the same period last week.
The largest deal of the week is a $3.0 billion USD-denominated bond by China’s Huarong Finance II through a consortium of 19 bookrunners.
Chinese issuers lead G3 issuance in the region with $106.3 billion so far this year, up 14% from $93.4 billion in 2015 YTD
HSBC leads the G3 bond league table in Asia (ex Japan) with $19.7 billion in 2016 YTD. Citi and Bank of America Merrill Lynch follow with $15.0 billion and $13.1 billion, respectively.
