Asia (ex Japan) issuers have raised $4.4billion through 26 deals so far this week, up on the $4.2 billion raised in the same period last week.
The largest deal of the week is the $1.1 billion new listing by Everbright Securities on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange, which is also the third largest IPO out of Asia (ex Japan) in 2016 YTD, after China Zheshang Bank ($1.9 billion) and BOC Aviation ($1.1 billion). Everbright Securities first went public in Shanghai, raising $1.6 billion in August 2009.
Hong Kong Stock Exchange leads global new listing issuance in 2016 YTD, with $9.4 billion from 35 deals, compared with $19.9 billion (46 deals) in the same 2015 period. New York and Shanghai follow with $6.9 billion and $5.9 billion, respectively.
CITIC Securities remains at the top of league table ranking with $13.7 billion in 2016 YTD. Morgan Stanley and GF Securities complete the top three rankings with $8.9 billion and $8.3 billion, respectively.

Debt Capital Markets
Six Asian issuers have tapped the G3 debt capital markets for a total of $2.9 billion, compared with $2.0 billion raised in the same period last week.
The largest deal this week is Asia Development Bank’s $1.3 billion issuance, priced on August 9 through joint bookrunners JPMorgan, Bank of America Merrill Lynch and Credit Agricole CIB.
Another notable transactions is the $550 million USD-denominated floater by Bank of Communications priced on August 10 through a consortium of nine bookrunners, with a final pricing of 87.5 bps over three-month Libor. Floating rate bond issuance totals $9.5 billion from 25 deals in the Asia G3 market so far this year, compared with $7.1 billion via 38 deals in 2015 YTD.
HSBC leads the G3 bond league table in Asia (ex Japan) with $13.5 billion. Bank of America Merrill Lynch and Citi follow with $10.2 billion and $9.4 billion, respectively.
