Asia (ex-Japan) Food and Beverage DCM reached the highest YTD volume on record.

Asia (ex-Japan) ECM volume stands at $1.6bn via 21 deals so far this week, down 39% from the $2.6bn via 26 deals completed last week.

On August 15, YY Inc completed a $403m follow on via Credit Suisse, Goldman Sachs, and China Renaissance. This is the largest Asia (ex-Japan) ECM transaction this week.

Asia (ex-Japan) follow-on volume reaches $85.5bn in 2017 YTD, down for the second consecutive year-on-year since the record volume in 2015 ($139.7bn), though this YTD figure still stands as the third highest YTD volume on record. Asia (ex-Japan) IPO volume stands at $42.4bn, up from the $24.1bn in the same 2015 period and the highest YTD volume since 2011 ($56.1bn).

CITIC Securities leads the ECM league table with $8.2bn in 2017 YTD, followed by China International Capital Corp with $7.8bn and Goldman Sachs is third with $7.4bn.

Asia (ex-Japan) G3 DCM volume totaled $1.2bn via 4 deals this week, down 47% from the $2.3bn raised last week via 10 deals.

Two perpetual bond were priced by Hong Kong issuer this week. Wing Tai properties with $118m and CK Hutchison Holdings with $500m, the latter is the largest bond priced this week in Asia (ex-Japan) international market.

Perpetual bond issuance in Asia (ex-Japan) international market has reached $22.2bn via 48 deals, up from $5.6bn via 15 deals in the same period of 2016, both volume and activity mark as the highest YTD level on record.

HSBC leads the G3 DCM league table in 2017 YTD with $19.7bn. This is followed by Citi with $15.9bn and Standard Chartered Bank with $12.4bn.
