Clifford Chance ramps up

Clifford Chance announces new recruits.

International law firm Clifford Chance has announced the appointment of Andrew Whan as a senior associate in addition to the new recruits Kate Inman, Wayne Penning, and Ramanan Navakadadcham.

Whan has worked in Clifford Chance's London office since 1999, specializing in private equity, venture capital, and multi-jurisdictional mergers and acquisitions. He will continue working in these areas on the Hong Kong corporate team.

Kate Inman, previously from Andersen Legal, focuses on private equity transactions. Wayne, a veteran of Minter Ellison in Sydney, is responsible for private equity, M&A, IPOs, and takeover transactions. Last but not the least, Ramanan, formerly from Mallesons Stephen Jaques in Sydney, specializes in managed funds.

"Our recent recruitment drive demonstrates our commitment to investing in quality people, even in times of economic uncertainty," comments Roger Denny, head of Clifford Chance's Asian corporate practice. "We have significantly strengthened our capability at the mid and senior level, enabling us to continue delivering a high quality service to our clients."
