Citi names new Malaysia research head

Ex-BNP Malaysia research head Choong Wai Kee becomes Citi's latest research head appointment.
CitigroupÆs investment research arm has announced the appointment of Choong Wai Kee as head of country research in Malaysia. The appointment marks the fourth new country research head appointed by Citi over the past few months. So far, the bank has named new heads in Hong Kong, South Korea and Thailand.

Upon arriving at Citi in Kuala Lumpur, Choong will take over the reins from Teh Chi Chang, who will now focus on the power, tobacco, print media and gaming sectors in Malaysia. Chang held the head of Malaysian research role for two years.
