HSBC poaches from Citi and Bank of America

Fred Shyur and Stella Ng take up senior cash management positions with HSBC in Hong Kong.
HSBC global payments and cash management has announced the appointment of two new senior management personnel to its financial institutions sales team.

Fred Shyur is based in Hong Kong as senior vice president, head of financial institutions sales, responsible for consultative engagement and the development of cash management solutions for bank and non-bank financial institution clients. He also advises on HSBCÆs Asian currency clearing proposition for commercial banks throughout the region.

Shyur joins HSBC from Citi in Hong Kong, where he was the regional head of correspondent banking for global treasury and trade services.
He has considerable experience across the financial institutions sector, having worked for 15 years in relationship management and transactional sales roles covering financial institutions clients at Citi and Wachovia.

Stella Ng joins the financial institutions sales team in Hong Kong as vice president, financial institutions sales manager, primarily responsible for development and delivery of HSBCÆs Asian currency clearing solutions to targeted relationship banks.

Ng comes to HSBC from Bank of America in Hong Kong where she was product manager financial institutions, Asia-Pacific, for the global payments services division. Prior to working at Bank of America, Ng held senior positions throughout her 25-year banking career at Wachovia, Deutsche Bank, and ICBC Asia.

Shyur reports to Richard Jaggard, head of sales, global payments and cash management, Asia-Pacific. Ng will report to Shyur.

The positions taken up by Shyur and Ng have been vacant for some months according to HSBC.
