China Huarong and China Re priced the third and fourth largest Hong Kong new listing in 2015 YTD

A total of $4.8 billion has been raised in the Asian equity capital markets through nine deals so far this week, compared with $873 million raised in the same period last week via 16 deals.

The largest deal of the week is China Huarong Asset Management’s $2.3 billion IPO, followed by China Reinsurance’s $2.0 billion listing. These two deals stand as the third and fourth largest new listing* on the Hong Kong Exchange so far this year.

Hong Kong is the top exchange for global new listing volume with $25.1 billion in 2015 YTD, up 42% year-on-year and highest level since 2011 ($28.4 billion).   

CITIC Securities leads the league table ranking with $15.3 billion. UBS and Goldman Sachs follow with $14.0 billion and $13.3 billion, respectively.

Debt Capital Markets

Dongfeng Motor (Hong Kong) International’s $567 million bond and Hyundai Capital Services’ $296 million issuance are the only two G3 DCM deals in Asia (ex Japan) this week, compared to $1.4 billion via two deals from the same period last week.

Total Asia (ex Japan) G3 issuance has reached $160.8 billion so far this year, down on the $169.5 billion from 2014 YTD.

HSBC continues to top the league table ranking with $17.1 billion in 2015 YTD while Citi and JP Morgan follow with $14.1 billion and $11.3 billion, respectively.
