Asian ex-Japan issuers raised $337 million through 14 deals compared to $483 million the previous week.

Asian ex-Japan issuers have raised $337 million through 14 deals so far this week, compared to $483 million in the same period last week. The largest transaction this week is an $81 million follow-on for Jiangsu Wuzhong Industrial through sole bookrunner Soochow Securities.

China Re's $2b initial public offering is not included in the total as it priced late on Friday.

The top three banks leading the league table ranking remain unchanged with CITIC Securities in first place with $15.1 billion in 2015 YTD while UBS and Goldman Sachs follow with $13.9 billion and $13.2 billion, respectively.

Debt Capital Markets

Two issuers tapped the G3 debt capital markets in Asia ex-Japan so far this week for $1.4 billion, compared to just one deal last week for $500 million.

Agricultural Bank of China’s $900 million trade was the largest deal of the week through bookrunners Standard Chartered Bank, JPMorgan, Goldman Sachs, Morgan Stanley, HSBC, Wells Fargo Securities, Barclays, Agricultural Bank of China and Bank of America Merrill Lynch.

Asia (ex Japan) G3 FIG issuance stands at $43.1 billion so far this year, down slightly from the record $44.4 billion raised in the same period last year. Chinese issuers account for 75% of G3 FIG issuance in 2015 YTD with $32.4 billion, up 43% year-on-year.

HSBC continues to lead the league table ranking with $17.1 billion in 2015 YTD while Citi and JPMorgan follow with $14.1 billion and $11.3 billion, respectively.
