Equity Capital Markets
A total of $2.5 billion has been raised in the Asian equity capital markets through 13 deals so far this week, down 26% from the $3.4 billion raised in the same period last week. Activity is also down compared to the 28 deals completed last week and is the lowest weekly activity since February 16 (10 deals).
The largest deal of the week is Indian Oil’s $1.4 billion follow-on through bookrunners Citi, Deutsche Bank, JM Financial, Kotak Mahindra Bank and Nomura.
The deal is the third largest Indian ECM transaction so far this year and marks the fifth sell down by the government in 2015 YTD.
India ECM volume stands at $16.4 billion so far this year, more than double the $7.6 billion raised in the same 2014 period.
CITIC Securities leads the league table ranking with $14.3 billion. UBS and Goldman Sachs follow with $13.5 billion and $12.7 billion, respectively.

Future Days is the one issuer to tap the G3 debt capital markets this week, compared to $4.0 billion raised in the same period last week through eight deals.
HSBC continues to top the league table ranking with $15.5 billion in 2015 YTD while Citi and JP Morgan follow with $13.2 billion and $10.6 billion, respectively.
