Suntory wins Danone's Frucor business

Japanese liquor major Suntory adds the Australasian firm Frucor, the owner of V energy drink, to its portfolio at a price tag of $762 million.

JapanÆs Suntory will buy DanoneÆs New Zealand and Australia subsidiary Frucor for Ç600 million $762 million.

Frucor had sales of Ç210 million in the most recent fiscal year, making it a leading player in the energy drinks market in Australasia and the second-largest non-alcoholic drinks company in New Zealand.
