New head of syndicate joins UBS Japan

Mizuho Securities veteran Eiji Nasu moves to UBS where he will build on the bank's reputation as a top bond arranger.

Eiji Nasu has joined UBS Securities as executive director and head of debt syndicate. The appointment, which was confirmed by UBS spokeswoman Jackie Kestenbaum on Thursday, became effective July 1.

Nasu is a well-regarded, 20-year veteran of the Japanese debt market. He joined Mizuho Bank immediately after attending Tokyo University and worked at Mizuho Securities after it was set up from a merger of DKB Securities, Fuji Securities, and IBJ Securities in 2000.
