UBS appoints co-heads of Japan equities

Andrew Hunter and Taichi Takahashi are promoted to the role vacated by Richard Samuelson, who transfers internally.
UBS Securities Japan has announced the appointments of Andrew Hunter and Taichi Takahashi as its co-heads of Japan equities. In the firmÆs Tokyo offices, they take over the role from Richard Samuelson, who has accepted a new role within UBS.

Hunter, who has been with UBS since 1997, was previously global head of Japanese equity distribution. Prior to taking on this role in 2002, Hunter was the head of Pan-Asian equity sales. When he first joined UBS in 1997, he was head of Japanese equities sales, based in Tokyo. In total, Hunter brings 18 years of experience to his new role.
