MTRÆs loss is Hongkong LandÆs gain

Keith Yuen is the new head of treasury for Hongkong Land and joins the company from MTR Corporation.

Keith Yuen is the new Head of Treasury at Hongkong Land. Yuen will start work next week for the 'Landlord of Central' as Hongkong Land is referred to because of its ownership of a majority of grade A office and retail space in Central district of Hong Kong Island.

Yuen joins the property and infrastructure development group from the MTR Corporation, where he served as deputy treasurer with responsibilities for financing, risk management, documentation and treasury operations. Yuen joined MTR in 1994. He was also the secretary and investment advisor to the MTR Retirement Scheme Trustee Board.

Yuen is also the honorary treasurer and executive committee member of the Hong Kong Retirement Association. At Hongkong Land, Yuen will report to Francis Heng, finance director. He replaces Gorette Mak who leaves the company today after having worked there since 1996.
