JPMorgan Securities Asia has announced the appointment of Tetsuya Kawano as president and head of the investment-banking group in Japan with immediate effect. Prior to joining JPMorgan, Kawano had stints at Goldman Sachs and Merrill Lynch.
"Tetsuya has been a trusted advisor to many of Japan's prominent corporate leaders who value his advice on mergers and acquisitions and equity transactions," says Ralph Parks, chairman of JPMorgan Asia-Pacific, of the new hire.
