Hirose joins from Sumitomo Life where he has been for 30 years most recently as General Manager of the International Business Department.
ING says the move highlights its continued commitment to building up its financial markets business in Japan. Mr Hirose's knowledge of domestic institutions and extensive experience in the insurance business will be valuable in the relationship driven nature of Japan's financial markets.
