Freshfields Chalks up new disputes head

The Magic Circle firm has brought in Richard Chalk to lead the Asian disputes team.

Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer has drafted London-based partner Richard Chalk to head its Asian dispute resolution team. He replaces Rajat Jindal, who returns to London.

Chalk has worked in Asia before, both in Singapore and Hong Kong, and is now returning to the region to lead a team that includes partners Michael Moser and Patrick Swain. I'm delighted to be returning to Asia, he says. These are exciting and challenging times for lawyers in this part of the world. I'm thoroughly looking forward to developing the practice further.
