Equity capital markets
Volume in the equity capital markets dropped this week to $249 million from just three issues, marking the lowest weekly issuance since March 2009. The top three banks in the league table remain unchanged with Goldman Sachs $11.4 billion, followed by Morgan Stanley and UBS.
Hunan Er-Kang Pharmaceutical’s $129 million IPO was the largest deal of the week and led by Southwest Securities.
Deals scheduled to price next week include Hongguo International Holdings’ $178 million IPO led by Citi and DBS, and a $155 million IPO for Tenfu (Cayman) Holdings through Credit Suisse, CICC and Polaris Securities.

Debt capital markets
Borrowers raised a total of $520 million in Asia’s G3-currency debt capital markets this week. HSBC continues to dominate the league table ranking with $8.6 billion, followed by Citi and Deutsche Bank.
Korea Finance Corp’s $391 million issue was the biggest deal of the week, led by Barclays Capital, Daiwa Capital Markets, Deutsche Bank and Mizuho.
