The equity capital markets raise $190 million this week.
Equity Capital Markets

The equity capital markets raised $190 million this week from eight trades, pushing year-to-date volume to $58.9 billion from 722 issues. This is down 67% from the $177.9 billion raised in the same period last year.

The top 10 league table rankings remain unchanged with Citi, UBS and Credit Suisse leading the field on $5.3 billion, $3.8 billion and $3.7 billion respectively.


Debt Capital Markets

It was another silent week in the debt capital markets with zero trades for the fifth week running. HSBC, Deutsche Bank and Citi take out the top three rankings in the league table with $2.6 billion, $2.2 billion and $1.6 billion respectively.

Year-to-date volume remains at $16.7 billion from 57 trades, a decline of 56% from the level reached in 2007 YTD.
