Technology firm SunGard has made a significant appointment in the region, naming Leif Strid as Asia-Pacific director for GMI, its clearing and accounting system for global exchange-traded derivatives, futures and options. From its Hong Kong offices, Strid will take on responsibility for managing the GMI infrastructure, servicing existing customers and coordinating the expansion of the business in the region.
In his new role, Strid will report to Christopher Meens, managing director of SunGardÆs GMI in the UK and Europe and the Asia-Pacific. He takes on the role after John Warren has moved to a new role as SunGard Asia-PacificÆs managing director for the PeopleÆs Republic of China.
