JPMorgan poaches Goldman analyst

The firm boosts its China equity strategy team with new hire.
JPMorgan has bolstered its China equity capabilities by luring John Tang to the firm from Goldman Sachs. Tang takes on a Hong Kong-based role in the US investment bank's China equity strategy team, reporting directly to Frank Gong, head of China research and strategy as well as chief economist.

In what is a newly created role, Tang will work closely with Gong on JPMorgan's China strategy product, as well take an opportunistic approach to individual stock coverage. Where the latter is concerned he will predominantly look at new transactions from the China market.
