The equity capital markets raise over $162 billion to date.

The equity capital markets raised $1.9 billion via 17 issues this week, pushing year-to-date volume over the $162 billion mark. Goldman Sachs retained the top league table ranking, sitting on $16.4 billion from 37 deals; Morgan Stanley narrowed the gap to stand on $16.1 billion; while UBS rounded out the top three with $14.4 billion.

Bank of ChinaÆs $569 million accelerated bookbuild was the largest issue of the week and led by Morgan Stanley. The US investment house also ran the books for China Construction BankÆs $255 million bought deal.

The other large issue of the week was a $500 million convertible for Wilmar International that was bookrun by CIMB, DBS and Goldman Sachs.

The debt capital markets saw zero activity again this week.
