Asian issuers have raised $2.6 billion in the equity capital markets this week through 21 deals, the lowest weekly volume since the week of April 6 $2.3 billion and the lowest weekly activity since the week of February 16 nine deals. Volume is also down from the $6.1 billion raised last week through 32 deals.
The largest deal of the week is Haitong Securities’ $817 million accelerated offering through sole bookrunner UBS and brings Asia ex Japan accelerated offerings to $31.4 billion in 2015 YTD, compared to $17.5 billion raised in the same period last year.
