Asia ex Japan issuers have raised $7.6 billion through 31 deals so far this week, compared with $931 million raised in the same period last week.
The largest deal of the week is Bank of Shanghai’s $1.6 billion IPO on the Shanghai Stock Exchange, through joint bookrunners Guotai Junan Securities and Shenwan Hongyuan Group. This is the largest A-share new listing since June 2015, when Guotai Junan Securities completed its $4.9 billion IPO in Shanghai.
Chinese A-share new listing volume totals $15.2 billion so far this year via 145 deals, down on $24.0bn 192 deals from the same 2015 period.
