NG returns to JPMorgan

Departs Goldman after one year.

Grace Ng will reestablish links with JPMorgan, returning after one year at Goldman Sachs as an economist for Greater China. The mainland native rejoins the economic research team as economist, Greater China, similar to the position that she held before moving to Goldman.

At JPM, she will work closely with Frank Gong and Ben Simpfendorfer, covering the economies of the Greater China region. Prior to working for JPMorgan and Goldman Sachs, Ng was a senior economist in the economics and strategy department of the Singapore GIC.

Along with Simpfendorfer, Ng will work from Hong Kong, while JPMorgan will shift Gong to Shanghai in the near future. She will report jointly to Gong, head of China research and chief economist for China, and to Dave Fernandez, head of emerging markets Asia.

Ng's rehiring further continues the bank's aggressive China-related stance, which has produced several key appointments in the past few months.
