RBS makes senior appointments

The Royal Bank of Scotland has appointed Steve Seymour as head of equities sales trading Asia-Pacific, and Sally Ng as regional head of research for Asian financials.

As a member of the Asian equities management team, Seymour will contribute towards the bank's equities strategy by building market share and customising relationship coverage. He has prior experience working at J.P. Morgan and CLSA. He will report to Peter Irvine, the head of Asian equities.

Ng joins RBS from UBS where she was co-head of Asian banking and regional insurance -- the area under her coverage included financials and insurance in Hong Kong and China. Before that, she worked at Deutsche Bank where she was the head of Asian financial institutions research. Earlier in her career, Ng was a senior analyst with Indosuez WI Carr Securities, where she covered Singaporean and Malaysian banks. She will report to Peter Hilton, head of Asian equity research.
