New IB chairman for Credit Suisse in Australia

Previously general counsel of the Commonwealth Bank of Australia, John OÆSullivan will look after senior client relationships.

Credit Suisse has appointed John OÆSullivan as chairman of its investment banking department in Australia, effective early 2008. OÆSullivan joins from the Commonwealth Bank of Australia where he has been general counsel and a member of the bankÆs executive committee since 2003.

At Credit Suisse, OÆSullivan will be responsible for transaction origination and execution as well as client relationship management and development in Australia. He will be based in Sydney and work side-by-side with Rob Stewart and John Knox, co-heads...
