Lehman Brothers appoints China chairman

Zhizhong Yang is appointed as Lehman Brothers' first China office chairman.
Zhizhong Yang has been named chairman of Lehman Brothers' China office, a new position the firm has created in light of its growing China business.

Yang has been leading Lehman BrotherÆs China investment banking franchise since he joined the firm in 2004.

He has helped Lehman Brothers win several deals in China including: acting as financial advisor to ICBC in its $22 billion initial public offering; working as joint bookrunner on the $5.9 billion IPO of China Citic Bank; and acting as sole global coordinator on the $1.5 billion convertible bond for Sinopec.

Yang worked for Morgan Stanley for six years before joining Lehman Brothers.
