FinanceAsia announces senior promotions

FinanceAsia promotes new Editors to oversee the magazine and FinanceAsia.com.
As many of our readers know, after eight years at the helm, Steven Irvine will be resigning as Editor-in-Chief of FinanceAsia effective October 30. In this role he oversaw and edited both FinanceAsia magazine and our daily website.

We are pleased to announce that he will continue to offer his advice and editorial inputs to FinanceAsia as a Consulting Editor.

Taking over as Editor of the magazine is Lara Wozniak. Meanwhile Anette J÷nsson will be promoted from her current role as Deputy Editor of FinanceAsia.com to Editor.

Wozniak has been working as senior editor for the past two years at FinanceAsia, while J÷nsson has been covering deals for the web and magazine for the past year-and-a-half.

J÷nsson came to Hong Kong with Dow Jones Newswires in 1999 after spending five years covering financial and corporate news for the wires in London and Stockholm. Before joining FinanceAsia in January 2006, she was the Markets Editor at the South China Morning Post for about two years and also spent a year in Taiwan studying Mandarin. She is a Swedish native and read journalism at Mid-Sweden University in Sundsvall.

Prior to joining FinanceAsia in 2005, Wozniak was an editor at the Far Eastern Economic Review from 2001 to 2004. Before joining FEER, she wrote and edited travel guidebooks in the region for Random House û and prior to that was a business news reporter in the US. She is trained as a lawyer, who passed the Pennsylvania bar exam, and did her undergraduate studies at Haverford College.
