Merrill appoints former bureaucrat as adviser

The former boss of the NSW PremierÆs Department will advise Merrill Lynch on attracting government business in Australia.

Merrill Lynch has appointed Col Gellatly as a senior adviser to its investment banking business in Australia as it aims to tap into government-led capital markets deals. He becomes one of four consultants on the bankÆs advisory board, and the first with solid government contacts.
