Price takes new equity sales role at Deutsche

Malcolm Price becomes head of cash equity sales for Australia as the German bank makes several sales appointments in Sydney and Melbourne.
Deutsche Bank has poached Malcolm Price from leading firm UBS, giving him the title head of cash equity sales Australia. Price spent 15 years with UBS, most recently as managing director and head of equity sales.

At Deutsche Bank he will report to Vic Jokovic, head of the bankÆs institutional client group, and will be based in Sydney.

The news on Price follows several other appointments to DeutscheÆs equity sales team, including the transfer of people back to Sydney and Melbourne following stints in Asia.

Patrick Mann returned to Deutsche as a director of sales trading in Sydney after working with ABN AMRO in Hong Kong. He had previously worked for Deutsche Bank for eight years in both Sydney and Hong Kong. David Summerfield is another Hong Kong expat returning home. Summerfield ran Credit SuisseÆs sales trading team in Hong Kong and was recently appointed director, sales trading and hedge fund sales for Deutsche based in Melbourne.

Scott Ramsay was appointed vice president of Asian sales based in Melbourne having worked for UBS for 10 years, including five years in its London office. Meanwhile, Brett Hucker has been appointed vice president of research sales based in Melbourne. Previously, Hucker worked for Merrill Lynch in its media research team.
