In Singapore, HSBC has named David Katiforis as its new head of global payments and cash management for the city state. Katiforis assumed his post on September 5. He replaces Jin Kok Teoh, who has transferred to a yet unannounced role in HSBCÆs global payments and cash management division.
In his new role, Katiforis reports directly to Lawrence Webb, HSBCÆs head of payments and cash management for Asia-Pacific and transfers internally. Prior to his new Singapore position, Katiforis was head of payments and cash management at HSBC Australia. Outside of this position, he was also a global relationship manager in HSBC's corporate and institutional banking unit.
Before beginning his tenure at HSBC, Katiforis held a variety of roles at banks such as St George Bank, Standard Chartered Bank and National Australia Bank.
Replacing Katiforis in Australia is Wendy Booth who takes on the role of head of payments and cash management in the market. Booth transfers internally and previously held the post of head of sales for payments and cash management in Australia. Like Katiforis, Booth will report to Webb.
Prior to working for HSBC, she worked in transactional banking at JPMorgan and
National Australia Bank. Before these roles, Booth worked in HSBCÆs payments and cash management business in Australia between 1997 and 2001. Throughout her 15 year career, Booth has also held a variety of roles, from retail banking to trade finance and relationship management with other organisations such as ANZ and BNP Paribas.
Elsewhere in HSBCÆs Australian payments and cash management business, Rebecca Adriatico has been named head of product management, reporting to Booth. Prior to joining HSBC, Adriatico was most recently responsible for the payables financing project in the global trade finance team at National Australia Bank. She also brngs experience from JPMorgan Chase, Bank of America and Citibank.
