Asia (ex Japan) ECM volume stands at $2.1bn via 14 deals so far this week compared to the $2.1bn via 26 deals completed in the previous week.

Chinese issuer People’s Insurance Co completed a $872m follow-on via CICC, CITIC, GS, and Essence Securities in what is the largest Asia (ex Japan) ECM transaction this week.

Asia (ex Japan) Insurance ECM volume stands at $1.1bn via 4 deals in 2018 YTD, down from $9.8bn via 16 deals in the same 2017 period and the lowest YTD volume since 2010 ($28.0bn).

Goldman Sachs leads Asia (ex Japan) ECM market with $15.6bn, followed by Citi with $12.5bn and Morgan Stanley with $11.6bn.

Asia (ex Japan) international DCM totaled $3.9bn via 18 deals this week, compared to $7.7bn via 20 deals in the previous week. 

The largest deal of the week goes to Baidu with $1.0bn proceeds via Goldman Sachs and JP Morgan.

In Asia (ex Japan) International DCM, Real Estate DCM reached the highest YTD volume on record with $50.5bn via 199 deals compared to second largest in 2017 YTD with $44.0bn via 174 deals.

HSBC leads the Asia(ex Japan) international DCM league with $23.6bn. This is followed by Citi with $16.6bn and Standard Chartered Bank with $13.1bn.
