Asian (ex Japan) issuers have only raised $140 million through 10 deals so far this week, the lowest weekly volume so far this year and down from the $3.0 billion raised in the same period last week.
Despite the lull in issuance this week, YTD volume stands at $203.4 billion, up 17% year-on-year.
The largest deal this week is a $65 million follow-on for China 33 Media Group listed on the Growth Market Enterprise (GEM) through bookrunners Gransing Securities, Kingston Financial Group and RHB Capital.
A total of $1.5 billion has been raised in the equity capital markets in the GEM board so far this year, up 66% year-on-year.
CITIC Securities continues to lead the league table ranking with $15.1 billion in 2015 YTD. UBS and Goldman Sachs follow with $13.9 billion and $13.2 billion, respectively.

Debt Capital Markets
Japan Hotel REIT Investment Corp was the only issuer to tap the G3 debt capital markets in Asia (ex Japan) so far this week for $50 million, on par with one issuer last week raising $1.6 billion.
Asia (ex Japan) G3 bond volume so far this year has reached $158.1 billion, slightly higher than the $157.2 billion raised in the same period last year.
HSBC remains at the top of the league table ranking with $17.0 billion in 2015 YTD while Citi and JP Morgan follow with $13.8 billion and $11.2 billion, respectively.
