China National Nuclear Power Co priced the biggest A-share IPO in 2015 YTD

A total of $7.6 billion has been raised in the Asian equity capital market this week through 62 deals, down on the $8.5 billion raised via 38 deals in last week.

Twenty-five IPOs have priced so far this week for a total of $3.7 billion. Follow-on volume is almost on par with $3.6 billion via 36 deals. Chinese issuers account for the majority of the region’s equity raising with an 83.4% market share via $6.4 billion.

The largest deal of the week is China National Nuclear Power Co Ltd’s $2.2 billion listing on the Shanghai Stock Exchange though joint bookrunners CITIC Securities and UBS. The deal also stands as the largest A-share IPO so far this year.

UBS jumps to the top of league table ranking for 2015 YTD with $10.80 billion while Goldman Sachs and CITIC Securities follow with $10.78 billion and $7.26 billion, respectively.

Debt Capital Markets
Seven issuers tapped the Asian G3 debt capital markets for a total of $5.4 billion so far this week, down on the $7.3 billion raised last week.

The largest deal this week is Three Gorges Finance’s $1.5 billion dual-tranche debut via bookrunners JPMorgan, Goldman Sachs, Deutsche Bank, Industrial & Commercial Bank of China, China Construction Bank Corp, CITIC Securities, SG Corporate & Investment Banking and Bank of China.

HSBC maintains its lead in the league table rankings with $12.4 billion in 2015 YTD while Citi follows with $11.0 billion. Deutsche Bank rounds off the top three with $7.4 billion.
