Sino-Ocean Land Treasure Finance II completes first Chinese G3 Real Estate bond in 2015 YTD

Asian equity markets have raised $3 billion via 13 deals so far this week, compared to the $1.8 billion raised in the same period last week.

The largest deal of the week is a $1.7 billion follow-on for Nanjing Huadong Electronics Information & Technology via sole bookrunner China Investment Securities and brings Chinese ECM volume so far this year to $6.3 billion in 2015 YTD, less than half the $14 billion raised in the same 2014 period.

Notably, The Government of India is expected to sell up to 10% stake in Coal India which is slated to raise approximately $4 billion this evening through bookrunners Bank of America Merrill Lynch, Credit Suisse, Deutsche Bank, Goldman Sachs, JM Financial, Kotak Mahinda Bank and SBICAP Securities.

China Investment Securities leads the Asia ex Japan equity capital market league table ranking with $1.9 billion, followed by UBS and Haitong Securities.

Debt Capital Markets
Four issuers have tapped the Asian G3 debt capital markets for $2.2 billion so far this week, down from the $4.1 billion raised in the same period last week.

Sino-Ocean Land Treasure Finance II Ltd raised $1.2 billion through bookrunners JPMorgan, Goldman Sachs, Deutsche Bank, Morgan Stanley, BNP Paribas, HSBC, DBS, China Merchants Bank and Bank of China in what is the largest deal of the week. The deal also is the first Chinese G3 Real Estate bond to complete since Sunshine 100 China Holdings’ $100 million bond priced on December 10, 2014.

HSBC tops the debt capital markets league table ranking with $3.4 billion in 2015 YTD, followed by Citi and Standard Chartered, respectively.
