New headhunting firms starts

Andrew Farish goes it alone establishing a new headhunting firm in Hong Kong.

Andrew Farish has established a new financial executive search firm under the name of Morrison Farish. The new firm will have a primary focus on the equity and equity-linked markets with some secondary coverage of the fixed income market. It will be based in Hong Kong.

Until last year Farish was a managing director of executive search firm Alexander Mann Hong Kong, being a founding member of the team and responsible for the firm's equity market coverage. Prior to Alexander Mann, Farish was a director at Stephens Associates. He first came to Hong Kong in 1996 as an associate director with Pelham Search Pacific. Farish started his career as a banker with the Royal Bank of Scotland in Edinburgh and London.

Since leaving Alexander Mann last year, Farish has been on sabbatical and it is understood that he spent much of his time travelling in South America.

"I have seen a number of market cycles during my seven plus years in executive search in Hong Kong and have learned a great deal in the process," says Farish commenting on his decision to go it alone. "I believe I offer clients the depth of experience and specialist focus that is crucial in successfully completing assignments at the highest level".
