e2-Capital hires former Morgan Stanley trader for equity research

e2-Capital, an online investment bank that hopes to specialize in technology, has recruited Ryan Fong, a former trader at Morgan Stanley and Goldman Sachs, to help build a research department.

e2-Capital, a recently formed online investment bank specializing in technology, media and telecommunications, has recruited Ryan Fong, a former trader for Morgan Stanley and Goldman Sachs, as assistant vice-president and technology research analyst.

In the six months before joining e2-Capital, Fong, 28, set up and ran his own $25 million technology fund   Pacific Legend in Hong Kong. Fong says the fund, though short-lived, returned 38% to its investors by betting on technology stocks such as telecommunications company China...
