RBS bolsters financial markets team

Scottish bank names Ka Wing Au head of financial markets in Singapore.

Royal Bank of Scotland (RBS) corporate banking and financial markets has announced that Ka Wing Au has been appointed to the role of head of financial markets. Based out of Singapore, Au fills the void left by Will Lawton, who departed RBS earlier in the year for Coutts Bank von Ernst to take on the position of head of treasury and investment services.

For RBS, Au's responsibilities will include strategic planning, regulatory compliance and day to day management of the financial markets business in Singapore. In replacing Lawton, Au reports to Lawrence Lam, RBS's regional head of financial markets, Non-Japan Asia.

Au assumes the new role after relocating internally to Singapore. From 2002, he has been RBS's regional head of Asia structuring team.
