Salomon promotes senior investment bankers

Salomon Smith Barney has announced a rash of senior investment banking promotions.

The bank has made a number of changes to its financial institutions group (FIG) and technology investment banking team.

In FIG, Raymond Lee, previously managing director and head of financial institutions equity research in Asia, has moved to the China financial institutions group.

Separately Daniel McNamara has been appointed head of FIG. McNamara will move to Hong Kong from Tokyo to take up the new position. He was previously co-head of FIG for Japan and he will continue to monitor activities between Japan and the rest of Asia.

There are now two co-heads of the technology investment banking unit following the promotion of Simon Parker to work alongside Richard Seow. In turn, Singapore-based Seow assumes sole responsibility for the firm's investment banking activities in Singapore, Malaysia and Indonesia. He was formerly co-head of South East Asia Investment Banking.
