SG appoints Irani to head regional oil and gas research

Irani will be based in Mumbai and will build a new team to cover the sector. He joins SG from JPMorgan Chase India where he worked for eight years as regional petrochemical head of research for Asia ex-Japan. His team at JPMorgan was recently ranked number three in the region in Institutional Investor's 2000 analyst's survey.
