Following the success of the Australian Stockbrokers Annual dinner (which has raised more than $4 million for charities over the last eight years), what remains of the Asian broking industry will host the Inaugural Annual Asian Brokers Dinner on Thursday March 13 2003. Tickets are HK$1,000 dollars a head for drinks, dinner and entertainment at the Grand Hyatt Hotel in Hong Kong.
Money raised will go to Crossroads International and the Hong Chi Association for the mentally handicapped.
All members of the industry, from brokers to analysts and bankers to bosses are welcome. Unfortunately, due to space limitations and intellectual hurdles being set too low, members of the fund management industry may not attend.
However, their presence will be acknowledged by the presentation of the AABA'S (Annual Asian Brokers Awards). Lucky recipients will be awarded the likes of the "Eliot Spitzer Award for Research" and "Steady Safe Corporate Finance Deal of the Year," having been voted on in absentia by the Fund Management Community.
