HSBC Insurance Brokers scoops two

Jenkin and Currie to develop solutions for Asian reinsurance clients.

HSBC's regional reinsurance business has received a boost, with the global financial firm announcing the signings of Christopher Jenkin and Mark Currie. Both join HSBC from Miller Insurance Services, where they were London-based reinsurance directors.

Jenkin will take up his new post in January 2006 as a production director. In this position, he will assume responsibility for developing HSBC's Asian reinsurance business presence.

Currie will start work in October and fulfil an active supporting role.

Both Jenkin and Currie bring 25 years of international reinsurance experience to HSBC Insurance Brokers and have worked together in Asia-Pacific for over 10 years. During this time, both hires have developed, produced and placed major treaty programmes and facultative risks, established local offices and worked closely with local, regional and international reinsurance markets.

Prior to working at Miller Insurance Services, both Jenkin and Currie worked at Swire Blanch, one of the UK's leading insurance firms.
