Goldman Sachs continues to lead the Asian league tables for equity capital markets, while HSBC heads the debt capital markets tables.

Equity capital markets
Asian equity capital markets activity reached $754 million through 14 issues this week, down from the $2.8 billion issued in the week before.

The top three standings in the league table remain unchanged with Goldman Sachs taking $12.5 billion, followed by Morgan Stanley and UBS.

A $177 million IPO for Dongguan Kingsun Optoelectronic was the biggest issue of the week through sole bookrunner Guosen Securities. Fujian Snowman closed a $125 million IPO through bookrunners Guodo Securities and Goldenmax International Technology completed a $124 million IPO through Huatai Securities.

Debt capital markets
Four Asian borrowers raised a total of $2.2 billion in the G3 debt capital markets this week, the biggest of which was a $1 billion sovereign sukuk from Indonesia through bookrunners Citi, HSBC and Standard Chartered.

So far this year, Indonesian borrowers have raised $6.4 billion from nine trades, coming in sixth in the nationality ranking in the Asia (ex-Japan) region. South Korea leads with $24.2 billion from 92 trades.

The top three banks in the league table ranking remain unchanged with HSBC on top with $9.6 billion, followed by Citi and Deutsche Bank.
