Treasury appointments, November 15

A roundup of the latest CFO and treasurer moves from around the region.

Boer Power Holdings: Huang Liang was appointed joint chief financial officer and executive director of the China-based electrical distribution equipment manufacturer on November 9. He joined the company as a financial manager in January 2009 and was promoted to financial controller in September last year. Huang is a member of the Chinese Institute of Certified Public Accountants and holds a diploma in accounting from the Shanghai University of Finance and Economics.

Camelot Information Systems: The China-based enterprise application and information technology services provider announced the resignation of CFO, Gordon Lau, on November 10. Former CFO and chief strategy officer, Franklin King, has assumed Lau’s responsibilities until a permanent replacement is found.

ChinaEdu Corporation: Simon Mei was appointed CFO of the China-based education services provider on November 3. He joined the company from Deloitte Touche Tohmatsu where he was a senior manager in the firm’s assurance and advisory services business in Beijing. Mei has more than 19 years of audit, accounting and financial operations and management experience and holds a bachelor degree in finance from Zhong Nan University of Finance and Economics and a master degree in finance from Renmin University of China.

Guangzhao Industrial Forest Biotechnology Group: The Singapore-based company engaged in tissue culture and propagation of plantlets and saplings announced the resignation of Ong Han Sim as CFO on November 4. Ong joined the company at the beginning of August this year. The company has not yet announced his replacement.

Hong Leong Asia: Hoh Weng Ming was appointed CFO of the Singapore-based manufacturing company on November 11. He replaced Tan Eng Kwee who resigned on the same day. Hoh joined the company from China Yuchai International, a subsidiary of Hong Leong Asia, where he has been CFO since 2008. He holds a bachelor degree in accountancy from the University of Canterbury and a master in business administration from Massey University. In addition, he is a Chartered Accountant in New Zealand and Malaysia and a Fellow Member of the Hong Kong Institute of Certified Public Accountants.

Mongolian Mining Corporation: The Mongolia-based mining company appointed Enkhzaya Nyamdorj CFO on November 4. She replaced Gankhuyag Adilbish who resigned on the same day. Nyamdorj joined the company at the beginning on August this year as deputy CFO from Ernst and Young where she was most recently a senior manager. She holds a bachelor degree in business administration, economics and marketing from the National University of Mongolia and a master in business administration from Schiller International University. In addition, she is a Certified Public Accountant in the United States and a member of the California Society of Certified Public Accountants.
